Description

What does this workshop cover?

This intensive two-day, hands-on workshop is designed to teach attendees the fundamental elements of the web. This includes web page building (HTML), creating interactive forms, writing CGI programs to handle form data, returning CGI output in HTML, utilizing graphical images and imagemaps. In addition, attendees learn how HTTP and MIME are used by servers and browsers. The current state of web browsers and web servers is discussed, including topics such as plug-ins, server-push, client-pull, interpreted language support (Java, ActiveX, and JavaScript), and html extenstions. A brief comparison of Java and ActiveX is presented.
